What is Integrative Breathwork?
In integrative breathwork, we use connected breathing as a basis. Connected breathing means that during a breathing session, we connect the inhalation and exhalation without pauses. By connecting the breath in a relaxed rhythm, our energy flows, we come more into contact with ourselves, and any blockages within us come to the surface. These blockages have built up throughout our lives and can take various forms, whether physical, mental, emotional, energetic or literally in our breath.
When we experience something unpleasant in our lives, it is common for us to lock up our energy and literally hold our breath. We do this so that we don’t have to feel the unpleasant emotion fully. We put it aside, so to speak, because at that moment we do not feel safe and comfortable with the emotion or feeling associated with it. This creates blockages in our energy. Over time, these blockages can manifest themselves in various forms. Because this is often an unconscious process, we may notice it through subtle signs, such as life feeling less effortless or more difficult than before. We feel discomfort and want to get rid of it.
We use connected breathing as an anchor when these blockages arise. An anchor to stay “awake” and be able to consciously feel what is happening inside you, without identifying completely with this feeling. By feeling an emotion or feeling completely (by embracing what you once rejected), you can get to know, recognise and take back this part of yourself that you have suppressed: “integrate” it. The connected breath, your own breath, gives you the safety and security to feel what you feel. You learn to hold space for the feeling or emotion and in this way you learn to feel increasingly safe in your body and to deal with intense emotions and inner experiences.
In integrative breathwork, you look at the parts of yourself one by one, the parts that you have consciously or unconsciously hidden away. By seeing, feeling and acknowledging these parts, you take them back as part of yourself. You integrate them, and in doing so, become more fully who you truly are.

This offers your employees a space to mentally and emotionally recharge. We can also offer personal programmes with an employee through the employer.
Your own responsibility and caution
Although breathwork is a powerful tool for finding relief, it is important to emphasise that everyone is responsible for their own well-being. In the case of serious or long-term complaints, such as severe depression or mental disorders, it is always advisable to contact a doctor or therapist first.
With us, you will receive the guidance you need to find yourself again. But your health is always the most important thing, and we encourage you to take the necessary steps for your complete well-being.
